New Delhi: At least 16 people have been detained in Assam for allegedly making “Traitors comments“After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Chief Minister Himant Biswa Sarma said on Sunday.
“A total of 16 arrests have been made against the evil elements so far,” the Assam CM wrote on X.
According to the Chief Minister’s earlier update, till Saturday evening, the number of arrests was at 14.

On Sunday, Sarma had indicated that the officials could implement the provisions of the tough. National security act (NSA) against the arrested people if necessary.
Sarma told news agency PTI, “There is no equality between India and Pakistan. Both countries are enemy nations and we should remain the same.”
