16 Mexican migrants were detained near San Diego in the third major boat blockage in months.

The agency said the US Coast Guard on Saturday intercepted 25-foot Cebot carrying 16 Mexican citizens on the coast of California and handed them over to the border petrol.The crowded boat was first seen about 54 miles from the coast of Point Loma near San Diego by a Coast Guard Lockheed C -130 Hercules aircraft. A cutter was sent and the vessel, Petrell stopped the Cebot and took the migrants into custody, according to a Coast Guard on Sunday.Everyone on the board said that they were from Mexico.The Coast Guard has increased efforts to disrupt migratory ships after US President Donald Trump’s promise to deport illegal migrants in the US.This latest blockage comes after similar incidents in recent months. Earlier this month, a “panga-style” boat carrying Russian citizens and migrants from the Republic of Dominican was stopped about three miles from the banks of Puerto Rico.In February, a 30-foot cilabot packed with 132 highaetene migrants, including women and children, was intercepted about 50 miles from the Florida coast.One of the largest recent obstructions of the previous year, when more than 300 highaethian migrants were stopped near Bahamas and sent back home.
