Bhubaneswar: Police on Thursday arrested two serving Indian Navy and one dismissal in Khurda, Odisha. Ins chilka 7 to 19 April.
One candidate reported that someone added his contact number to the WhatsApp group, where an unknown member offered “favor and aid” for selection as Agnives. The candidate inquired about the possibility of increasing his written examination score. On receiving a positive response, he alerted INS Chilka officers.
Subsequently, INS Chilka’s training correspondence officer Lieutenant Commander Advitia Singh lodged a complaint at Balugon Police Station on 19 April.
“Investigation revealed the participation of INS Chilka Staff member Vinay Kumar Ray (38), and later said two other suspects, Satyam Chahar (23), posted in Inte Kesari (Andaman and Nicobar) due to inquiries, and the sacked naval employees Bhasan (25) (25) (25),” Khurda) said.
He said, “He demanded an amount ranging from each candidate from Rs 30,000 to Rs 1.2 lakh, so that he can be helped to clean various recruitment stages through forgery.” The accused threatened to zero the appointments of the candidates who refused to pay the Navy to review the documents of the selected candidates for any discrepancies.
