According to a new report released by the US Coast Guard on Tuesday, the Titan submarine’s deadly 2023 transplant killed all five people during a dive for Titanic debris, a “stopped” tragedy.The ownership and operated Titan of Washington -based private company Oceangate stuck during a deep sea campaign at North Atlantic. All five people were killed on the board, including Stockton Rush, Oceangate CEO and submersible operators. The incident triggered a large -scale discovery and rescue attempt from the coast of Canada, which attracted global attention, but no one survived.The Coast Guard examined his highest level after the disaster, checking a marine board. His final report pointed to important failures in almost every field of Titan’s operation, from its design to its day-to-day monitoring, PBS News.Investigators found that the design, certification, maintenance and inspection processes of the submersible were all inadequate. The statement of a coast guard cited a “toxic workplace culture” within the Oceangate and said that the company’s mission was interrupted by the lack of both domestic and international regulator outlines for submersible operations.Jason Nubyer of Marine Board of Investigation, cited by PBS News, said, “Strong oversite and clear options are required that are searching for new concepts outside the existing regulatory structure,” said Jason Nyubyar said. “Conclusions will help prevent future tragedies.”In two years since the transplant, many Oceangate employees have come forward to support the findings of the Coast Guard, describing unprotected practices and internal laxity in the company.The Titan disaster has since led the cases and rising pressure for the tight regulation of the fast growing private deep-sea campaign industry.
