A special test for a particular case
The Union Home Ministry has appointed senior advocate Narnder Mann as Special Public Prosecutor for the case. The value will conduct testing and other related legal matters under the NIA case RC -04/2009/NIA/DLI for a period of three years.
The late night notification of the Ministry mentions: “The central government appointed Narendra Mann, advocated as a special public prosecutor … before the NIA Special Courts in Delhi and Appellate Courts, for a period of three years … or whatever the case is completed, whatever is earlier.”

Rana, a former Pakistani military doctor who later became a Canadian citizen, ran a Chicago-based immigration service firm, who was allegedly served as a front for Lashkar-e-Tabiba (late) operators. He was convicted in the US in 2011 for supporting terrorism, but was acquitted with direct participation in Mumbai attacks due to lack of jurisdiction. However, India has said that Rana played an important role in facilitating David Headley’s reconnaissance missions in Mumbai before the massacre.
The 26/11 attacks, 10 late terrorists, were claimed by 166 people and injuring more than 300 in a 60 -hour siege, targeting the CST railway station, Taj and Oberoi Hotel and Chabad House Jewish Center in Mumbai.
