Three members of a family, including a 35 -day -old baby, died on Saturday in an elephant attack in Alipurduar, Bengal. The deceased was identified as Manoj Das (35), her daughter Manisha and her mother Makhanrani (68). A herd of 20 elephants entered the village of Kunjanagar from a nearby forest. A traveler who wandered in another way killed Manoj. Hearing his cry, Makhanarini came out of the house carrying Manisha. As soon as the elephant attacked him, the child slipped from his arms and trampled. The three were rushed to the hospital, but declared declared. The villagers demanded a repair of the electric fence to keep the jumbo out.
