Lightning strikes 25 people in Bihar, CM announces 4 lakh east-Gratia for the victims, India News

New Delhi: At least 25 people died from seven districts- Nalanda, Siwan, Katihar, Darbhanga, Begusarai and Jehanabad.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), there were 18 deaths in Nalanda, followed by two in Sihan, one in one -Katihar, Darbhanga, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, and Jehanabad.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Spread the deaths and announced a prior of Rs 4 lakh for each for the next family members of the deceased.
“CM Nitish Kumar is deeply saddened by the death of 18 people in Nalanda, 2 in Siwan, 1 in Kathar, 1 in Darbhanga, 1 in Begasarai, 1 in Begasarai, 1 in Bhagalpur, 1 in Johanbad and due to geiangling, epilepsy. Stay completely alert during bad weather and follow the suggestions issued by the disaster management department,” said the CMO.
The Meteorological Department of India has declared an ‘Orange Alert’ (prepared) in several districts in Bihar, including Darbhanga, Eastern Champaran, Gopalganj, West Champaran, Kindjanj, Araria, Supaul, Gaya, Sitamari, Shohar, Nalanda, Nawada and Patna.
The department predicts adequate rainfall for these districts on Friday and Saturday.
“Madhubani, Darbhanga, Eastern Champaran, Gopalganj, West Champaran, Kingj, Araria, Supul, Gaya, Sitamari, Shorahar, Nanda, Nawada, Patna,” are likely to be in some places with “power and gusti winds (40–50 km per hour) with thunder.
After heavy rains on Thursday, many areas in Patna experienced water-justification. The state capital recorded 42.6 mm of rainfall till 5.30 pm.
