50% tariff of Trump: ‘Crude Bulling’, Congress says; Declares ‘will remove India’. Bharat News

New Delhi: Congress MP Manish Tiwari on Thursday reacted to the United States verdict to impose a standing tariff on India, called it a work of “crude bullying” and expressed confidence that India would receive it through it.President Donald Trump recently announced an additional 25% tariff on India for import of crude oil from Russia. It takes the total tariff to 50%.
Responding to the move, Tiwari wrote in a small post on X: “India will go away. Crude bullying, force and hand turning will not work.”Recently during a true social post, Trump said, “I don’t care what India does with Russia. They can take their dead economies down together, I care for all. We have done very little business with India – their tariffs are very high, most in the world. Similarly, Russia and USA do not do almost any business simultaneously. ,This new 25% tariff comes after a week when Trump already implemented 25% duty on Indian exports.The Ministry of External Affairs called America “unfortunate” and said that India will continue to work in its national interest.The MEA said in a statement, “It is extremely unfortunate that America should opt for additional tariffs on India for those tasks that many other countries are also taking in their national interest.”As per the executive order signed by President Trump, the first 25% tariff will be implemented on August 7, 2025. The second 25% tariff will be effective after 21 days.
