51st OIC session in Istanbul: Iran’s Foreign Minister Arakchi arrives; Tehran’s legitimate defense should be heard

Iran’s Tasnim news agency said Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi arrived in Istanbul to participate in the 51st session of the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC) organization on Saturday morning. Talking to reporters, Arakachi said Tehran “would use the opportunity to listen to the voice of righteousness of legitimate defense of the Iranian people.”Arakachi said that the OIC had approved the Iran’s proposal that it was described as the war of the War of Israel’s rule against the Islamic Republic.“We hope that a good and strong statement will be issued in condemning this (Israel) aggression,” he said.Araki has also been scheduled to hold a meeting with OIC’s foreign ministers, OIC general secretary and Turkish president on the occasion of the event.He said, “We will listen to the voice of righteousness of legal defense of Iranian people,” he said.The meeting follows Araki’s conversation with its counterparts from Britain, France and Germany in Geneva on Friday.“In this meeting, on Iran’s suggestion, the issue of the Zionic rule attack on our country will be specifically addressed,” Araki said, “according to the news agency.On Friday, Arakachi also said that Tehran was again ready to “consider diplomacy”, but only when Israel’s’ aggression stops off. “Istanbul meeting is being hosted by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and will be organized under the theme “Organization of Islamic Cooperation in a variable world”. About 40 diplomats are expected to attend the session as Israel and Iran continue to exchange missile strikes.
