‘She is about to kill me’: The woman describes the murder of herself ‘before killing’

A man from California is convicted of brutally killing his ex -girlfriend, in a frenzied knife attack, in which the woman’s last screams are occupied by a sound mail.
The 39 -year -old Craig Charon was found guilty of killing 25 -year -old Laura Sardina in his Huntington Beach in September 2020, receiving a preventive order just hours after changing her locks. The steps taken that day reflected the years of living in fear, as many women before that.
Sardinha was on the phone with her mother and the best friend when Charon suddenly appeared in her apartment, which was equipped with many knives. “Oh God, he is here,” he said in nervousness, before the line died. His friend immediately called 911.
In a few moments, Sardinha tried to call back and left the 37-second sound mail. In this, he can be heard screaming, “He is about to kill me!” And shouting hard, “Get away from me!”
“If you hear this carefully, you hear a woman listening to her assassination,” said that Orange County Deputy District Attorney Jenin Madera quoted the New York Post as saying, “Orange County Deputy District Attorney Jane Madera told the Jury during the boost, as the Jury has been quoted.
The gamblers heard how Charon carried out a barbaric attack, stabbing Sardina several times. He almost cut his nose, immersed a knife into his chest twice, and stabbed him in the head that the tomato knife blades bent.
The police reached Sardinha dead and chiron to bleed from the chest and neck wound. The prosecutors argued that they were self-inspired, it was part of an attempt to see as if he had attacked him.
Charon, an Air Force veteran and former Combat Medicine, claimed that he remembers very little in the day and insisted on the stand that he worked in self -defense.
But the prosecutors revealed a disturbed pattern of behavior. Earlier that morning, Sardinha admitted a friend that Charon had awakened him and demanded oral sex. He recorded a short video, stating, “Please get away from me,” saying that he never leaves.
Later, she hid in the office on lease of her apartment complex. Employees helped him change the locks, but investigators believe that the door may have been left open later during the day, allowing Charon to re -enter.
Three of the former partners of Charon also testified during the test, each describing the same pattern as abuse. A woman said that she quipped her and hit her with a bottle of wine. All had earlier received orders for banning him.
Charon now has to face punishment for the murder of Sardinha, a case that has put a rigorous spotlight intimate partner violence And when warning repeatedly, the disastrous results become unheard.
