Scene ‘Didi’ Combes Sex Trafficking Trial is ready to start with jury selection

Scene “Didi” Combes, hip-hop entrepreneurs, whose wild successful career has been made from allegations of violence, will be brought to a courtyard in New York on Monday, which will try on allegations that they used their business empire’s influences and resources to sexually exploit women.
Jury selection is about to begin in the morning and potentially several days. Statements and testimony by lawyers are expected to begin next week.
The 17-page prosecution against Comombs reads as a charging document filed against a mafia leader or a drug gang head, which accused him of engaging in sexual trafficking and presiding over a racketoring conspiracy.
The prosecution states that with the help of people and employees from the network of their businesses, Comombs are engaged in two decades of abusive behavior against women and others.
Prosecutors say that women were manipulated to participate in drug -filled sexual performance with male sex workers, called “freak offs”.
To keep women in line, prosecutors say Combes used a mixture of influence and violence: they offered to promote their entertainment career, if they did what they asked – or cut them off when they were bitten.
And when he was not finding what he wanted, the prosecution says that Comombs and his colleagues resorted to violent acts including beating, kidnapping and arson. Once, there is an allegation of prosecution, he also put someone in danger from the balcony.
Comombs and his lawyers say they are innocent.
Any group sex was consent, they say. He said that there was no attempt to force people to force people that they did not do, and nothing happened that was for a criminal racket, he said.
The test is expected to take at least eight weeks.
55 -year -old Combes has accepted an episode of violence that is likely to be shown in the test. In 2016, a safety camera recorded her by defeating her ex -girlfriend, R&B singer Kaisi at the hallway of Los Angeles Hotel. Chiya filed a lawsuit at the end of 2023, stating that the Comombs had subjected him to the years of misconduct, including beating and rape.
Associated press usually does not name those who say that they have been sexually abused until they come forward publicly, whose legal name is Cassandra Ventura.
The Attorney of Combes, Mark Agifilo, has stated that Combes were “not an ideal person” and that drugs were used and toxic relations, but said that all sexual activity between Combs, how and others was consensus.
Trial combs are the latest and most serious in a long string of legal problems.
In 1999, he was accused of bursting in the offices of an intercope records with his bodyguard and beating him with a champagne bottle and a chair. Executive, Steve Stout, later asked the prosecutors to go easy on the Comombs, who blamed for a low fee and took an anger management class.
Later in the same year, Comombs was stopped by the police and his then girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, by the police, a nightclub ran away, where three people were injured by bullets. Comombs was acquitted of all the allegations related to the incident in the 2001 test, but a rapper of his entry “Shine” Barrow was convicted in shooting and sentenced to about nine years in jail.
Then in 2015, Comombs was accused of attacking someone with a weight-room kettlebell at the University of California, Los Angeles, where one of his sons played football. Comombs said he was defending himself and prosecutors demolished the case.
Now, Combes face their most serious matter yet.
When guilty, he faces the possibility of decades in jail.
