Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zidong held a meeting with Pakistan Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to discuss the increasing tension with India.According to a press release issued by the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan, Dar expanded Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zadong during his meeting about India’s aerial attack on the goals inside the Pakistani region and the later response to Pakistan.Zaidong has also met Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari amidst increasing tension in the region. Earlier, on 27 April, Dar spoke with China’s top diplomat Wang Yi, briefing him on the situation. Wang said that China was closely monitoring the developments, emphasized global responsibility to counter terrorism, and called for a fair investigation. He confirmed that the conflict reduced the interests of both India and Pakistan and regional stability.Operation Sindoor comes under the vengeance of the Pahgam attack in which 25 Indians and a Nepali citizen were killed. Indian armed forces have claimed that they targeted nine terrorist sites in Pakistan during midnight operations. Additionally, he has also stated that he destroyed Lahore air defense after launching missiles and drones in northern and western regions. The border areas have caused the death of 16 civilians since Wednesday night due to Pakistan’s vengeance.
