Mohanlal’s Thadaram beat Tavino Thomas 2018 for the third highest grossing Malayalam film

Mohanlal’s ‘Thadaram’, directed by Tharu Murthy, has become a box office success, which earns Rs 98.75 crore in India within 17 days. Crossing the ‘2018’ collection, it is now the third highest grossing Malayalam film. The film’s strong performance, especially in the Malayalam market, is soon located to enter a club of Rs 100 crore, which includes ‘L2: Empuraan’ and ‘Manjummel Boys’.

Mohanlal’s latest film Thadaram, which is directed by Tharoun Murthy, is proving to be a box office goggarnot. In just 17 days, the film has laughed in India for Rs 98.75 crore, which has crossed the lifetime collection of Tovino Thomas’s blockbuster 2018, earning Rs 92.85 crore. With this feat, Thadaram has officially become the third highest -grossing Malayalam film, digging another milestone in Mohanlal’s brilliant career.From the day of its release, Thadaram showed a stable and consistent performance at the box office. It opened with Rs 5.25 crore on its first Friday and saw a significant increase in the weekend, reached Rs 10.5 crore on its first Sunday. Despite the decline of expected workdays, the film held a strong, closed its first week for an impressive rupee of Rs 51.4 crore.The pace continued in the second week, the film collected Rs 35.35 crore, a decline of only 31.23% – a commendable hold considering the competition and screen count. The third weekend has once again confirmed the popularity of the film.
