New Delhi: Right -handed batsman Karun Nair Abhimanyu has returned to the National Radar with his selection at the India ‘A’ squad led by Abhimanyu Ezavaran for the upcoming tour of England starting on May 30. India ‘A’ has been set to play two matches against Lions of England-which is against an intra-good match against an Intra-Squad match in Northern from 30 May to 2 June and from 6 to 9 June.Welcoming Nair’s inclusion, former India all -rounder Irfan Pathan wrote on social media:“Karun Nair is being selected for India, it is a clear indication that ‘Dear Cricket will give him another chance to play again for Team India.”In its announcement of the 18-Civil Squad, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also said that Shubman Gill and B Sai Sudharsan would join the team before the second game against England Lions, once the IPL ended on June 3.Nair, who scored a triple century against England in Chennai in December 2016, was a standout artist in Vidarbha’s Ranji Trophy-Vigor 2024-25 season, ending as a fourth-high tournament of the an average tournament of 53.93 on an average of 863 runs.He also portrayed the County Championship Division 1 for Northamptonshire in the last two sessions, scoring 736 runs in 14 innings of 56.61, including two centuries and the highest score of 202.
