J&K CM, as LG Call for Peace, India prepares to send an all-party team abroad

Srinagar: J&K CM Omar Abdullah and LG Manoj Sinha on Saturday underlined India’s commitment, while recently defending military works Pakistan -backed terrorismAs the country prepares to send an all-party parliamentary delegation abroad after Operation Sindoor.Welcoming the diplomatic outreach, Omar said: “This is a good opportunity to present our situation in important countries. If I recall correctly, a similar delegation was sent abroad after the Parliament attack during PM Vajpayee’s tenure.”He said that during the Operation Promotion, such a delegation helped clarify India’s stand globally.Omar emphasized the need for stability. “Currently, there is no report of violations with the international border or LoC. As long as there is no shelling and no bombing, you should be satisfied. We want peace.”In Kupwara, LG Sinha visited further areas and addressed military personnel to review the losses from Pakistani shelling. He said that Pakistan demanded international arbitration and a DGMO-level meeting, when Indian forces hit terrorist camps under Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahgam attack on 7 April on 7 April, including 26 people, mostly tourists.Sinha said, “Pakistan dared to respond after destroying nine major terrorist hideouts of our armed forces, some are considered inaccessible. Our response came from all three wings on 7, 8 and 9 May,” Sinha said. “On May 10, two hours before 3.35 pm, Pakistan’s DGMO formally requested a meeting. The talks were held at 3.35.”Sinha blamed Pakistan for increasing tension. “Perhaps our response has stated that there is no region in Pakistan beyond the reach of India’s armed forces,” he said. “We have never advocated war. We want peace. Today, we are the fifth largest economy and are moving towards the fourth. Our focus is on the creation of a developed India.”Visit to Tangdhar, where Border shelling Damaged homes and commercial properties, Sinha assured relief for the affected people.CM Umar said that a damage assessment is going on in the border areas affected by the shelling. “Once submitted a report, a compensation package for the affected families will be finalized.”Tourism has also taken a hit after the Pahgam attack. Omar said that the summer season with some visitors in Kashmir is “lost”. “Our current attention is ensuring a peaceful Amarnath Yatra. We want every pilgrim to come back safely. After that, we will find out the ways to revive tourism,” he said.
