‘Cheap political sports’: The name has been recommended for the Operation Sindoor delegation as the government’s decline as Congress. Bharat News

New Delhi: Congress party has alleged Union government Playing “cheap political games” in selection of MPs for international delegations to convince India’s position on Operation Sindoor. The party claimed that only one Congress MP was elected from the four names he suggested to the all-party delegation.According to Congress leader Jeram Ramesh, the Modi government requested four names from the party to the party on 16 May. The Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha immediately handed over these names to the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs till noon on the same day. However, when the final list was released late on 17 May, only one Congress representative was included.“On the morning of 16 May, the Modi government asked Pakistan for 4 names of Congress MPs/leaders to represent the Ink in a delegation to explain India’s stance on terrorism.The party wrote in the post, “It proves to be completely destructive of the Modi government and shows cheap political sports that always play on serious national issues.”The government has appointed Shashi Tharoor, a Congress MP from Thiruvananthapuram as one of the seven delegation leaders. Operation targeted the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and POK, with more than 100 terrorists from various groups including Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Tabiba and Hizbul Mujahideen.The subsequent subdivisional works of Pakistan led the Indian counter at several strategic places across Pakistan.
