Swatantra Dev Singh, Minister of Uttar Pradesh Water Power, will soon visit the villages of Bundelkhand and Vindhya.
With focus on verifying whether “every house” (tap water in every house) is met in these dried areas.The decision was taken during a high-level review meeting on Tuesday, where it was resolved that the inspection would be held in stages, with nine districts. The lions will interact directly with the residents and collect feedback on the implementation of the plan, especially in areas that historically face severe drinking water shortage before 2017.During the meeting, Singh directed the officials to prepare a comprehensive travel plan and provide a district-wise list of villages, where “every house water” has been achieved. Emphasizing strict accountability, he warned that implementing agencies would have serious consequences with any negligence or irregularity. He said, “Strict action, including prison for those responsible people, if laps have been found, he said that third party inspections will be added and daily progress report presented to the government.The meeting was also attended for Jal Shakti Ramkesh Nishad, Additional Chief Secretary of Namari Gange and Anurag Shrivastava and senior officials of the department.Meanwhile, Srivastava flagged off the delay in implementation of water life mission projects in Mirzapur. He directed the officials to investigate the performance of two implementation agencies, Ramki Baba and Megha and take appropriate action if the anomalies emerge. ADMS and Executive Engineers have been assigned with intensive block-level surveillance to speed up water supply projects.
