In the first delivery since March, UN sent 90 support trucks for Gaza

The United Nations sent about 90 aid trucks to Gaza on Wednesday – first delivery from the beginning of March. This step comes as a global pressure on Israel to reduce its blockade and prevent continuous attacks.Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he was open for the ‘temporary ceasefire’. However, he also said that the army will continue its efforts to take full control of Gaza.Three days after Israel announced that he would allow Gaza a limited assistance, the United Nations “loaded around 90 trucks from the Kerem Shalom crossing and sent them to Gaza”, said Stephen Duserric, spokesman for the United Nations chief Antonio Gutres. This development came at a time when Israeli soldiers visited the West Bank occupied by a group of foreign diplomats, who strongly criticized the world. In Gaza, the media office of the Hamas government reported that 87 aid trucks had arrived. This assistance was given to international and local groups to help in meeting ‘immediate human needs’.Netanyahu said that “a humanitarian crisis was necessary to protect our freedom of operational action” in Gaza.Due to the blockade of Israel, the Palestinians have struggled for basic supply after the weeks of near-coal separation, resulting in lack of food and drug supply.Meanwhile, Israel continued with Gaza’s bombing. On Wednesday, Gaza’s Health Ministry said the bodies of 82 people were taken to hospitals across the area in the last 24 hours.
The plight of citizens:
The displaced Palestinian 53-year-old Umm Talal al-Masri of Gaza city described the situation as “unbearable”.“Nobody is distributing us anything. Everyone is waiting for help, but we have not found anything,” he told AFP.“We barely manage to prepare a meal in a day.”Human groups reported that the amount of assistance entering Gaza is necessary to reduce the crisis.Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, an American -backed group, said it would start sending assistance to Gaza in the coming days. However, the United Nations and other traditional agencies said they would not cooperate with the foundation as it is accused of working with Israel. The Foundation said it plans to distribute around 300 million food in its first 90 days.
Increasing pressure on Israel:
Israel is facing immense pressure from traditional colleagues, to prevent its extended aggressive military operations and help in Gaza.On Tuesday, European Union Foreign Ministers agreed to review the European Union trade and the cooperation deal with Israel. Israeli’s Foreign Ministry stated that the European Union’s action “shows the total misunderstanding of complex reality Israel”. Sweden wants the European Union impose a ban on Israeli ministers, while Britain suspended the free-trade dialogue with Israel and called the Israeli ambassador.Pope Leo XIV called the situation “worrying and painful” in Gaza and urged for “adequate human assistance entry”.Germany should “use an important platform for the European Union-Israel cooperation deal on the situation in Gaza, which we should use to discuss important questions”.Israel resumed its military operations in Gaza on 18 March, ending the two -month ceasefire. Prime Minister Netanyahu said that if he helps free hostages, he is open to a temporary ceasefire. He said that at least 20 hostages organized by Hamas and his colleagues are still considered alive. On March 18, after resuming military operations in Gaza, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported more than 3,509 deaths, including the overall death toll of the war to 53,655, including most of the citizens. In the neighboring Lebanon, officials said the Israeli attacks killed three people on Wednesday. Israel said the attacks targeted Hizbullah, a Hamas colleague despite the ongoing ceasefire with the group.
