New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday batted for cooperation between the Center and the states to achieve national goals as he presided over the meeting of Neeti Ayog. “If the Center and the state work together like Team India, no goal is impossible,” Prime Minister Modi said at the meeting of the Governing Council, Niti at the Council meeting.He also said, “Vikas India is the goal of every Indian. When every state is Vikasit, Bharat will be Vikasit. This is the aspiration of his 140 crore citizens.” The theme of this year’s meeting was ‘Wikit State for Wikit India@2047’, in which a press release of Neeti Ayog was focused on the role of states in helping India become a developed country by 2047.The Prime Minister also urged the states to focus on tourism development. While presiding over the meeting of the 10th governing council of Niti Ayog on Saturday, PM Modi said, “States should develop at least one tourist destination per state with global standards and all facilities and infrastructure. A state should be developed per state. A state: A global destination. It will also carry forward the development of neighboring cities as tourists.”Reducing India’s rapid urbanization, the PM said, “India is becoming increasingly urbanized. We should work towards future prepared cities. Development, innovation and stability should be an engine for the development of our cities.”Andhra CM has proposed three sub-groups for the Vikit Bharat Mission At the Governing Council meeting, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu suggested to create three dedicated sub-groups, in partnership with the Central Government and Neeti Disarray to speed up the efforts towards achieving the target of a developed India by 2047.
- According to a statement issued by the state government, the first sub-group will focus on encouraging investment, enhancing manufacturing and exporting GDP growth by generating employment. This will be supported through central viability gap funding for public-private partnership (PPP) projects.
- The second sub-group will address population management, which aims to help India to create its demographic strength, while future issues such as population aging and preparation with a decline in fertility.
- The third sub-group will work on promoting technology-based governance by taking advantage of devices such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, drones and digital platforms to ensure efficient, real-time, civil-centered administration.
Mamta to leave Vijayan meeting between CMS News agency PTI reported that Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and three Chief Ministers from the southern states, in which the NDA ruled Puducherry, left the meeting of the Governing Council of Niti August.While Congress -ruled Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, were busy with “former engagement” in the state and sent his speech to study in the council, Marxist veteran and Kerala CM, Pinarayi Vijayan deputed his cabinet colleague KNA Balgopal on his behalf.Similarly, Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy, who heads the AINRC NDA alliance in the central region, also left the incident, an official source said by PTI.
