Instamart Sheds Sdiggy Branding in Bid for Standalone Identification

Instamart has removed Swiggy from its branding, aiming to establish an independent identity. This strategic decision follows Zomato’s recent rebranding on stock exchanges, as quick commerce becomes rapidly important to both organizations beyond its food distribution works. Sriharsha Mazti, CEO of Swiggi Group, has repeatedly indicated that Instamart is expected to exceed food distribution in both access and magnitude.“Integrated within the main swiggi app, Instamart also launched a standalone app earlier this year. As Instamart enters this next stage, its refreshing identity reflects the identity of the brand, while the right remains for Swaji values, which is the right remaining, which loves it,” a statement quoted by PTI.The company has introduced a new logo, which includes Swiggy ‘S-Pin’ symbol as “a subtle tribute to the origin of the brand”.Swiggy’s brand head Mayur Hola said, “Instamart’s promise has become beyond grocery categories, Tier 1 cities and food distribution users. It has become a service with its voice, its own loyal users and a role in everyday life, which is both personal and necessary.”“This rebrand is not just a visible change, it is an announcement: Instamart has increased beyond its origin, while still supported by Swiggy’s belief. The new identity depicts the Instimart as a standalone brand, a one that is innovating across the speed, selection and daily convenience,” he said. The revised brand identity will be applied to various touchpants including applications, packaging materials, delivery equipment, communication and publicity activities in the upcoming weeks.
