Madurai: Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah arrived on his second important visit to Tamil Nadu in two months on Saturday night, to resume party machinery before 2026 assembly elections in the state. His journey became physical exactly a week after the ruling DMK held a meeting of its important General Council here and passed the proposals condemning the Center.It also comes in the backdrop of a wrestling for the leadership between the father-son duo in the BJP’s ally, and amidst an anger expressed by DMDK, Shah formed an alliance during a gathering on April 10, with an ally of the opposition AIDMK, with a colleague of the opposition AIDMK, which was not found by a gathering.In addition, former Chief Minister and AIADMK leader O Pannerasalavam recently regretted that Shah did not call him during his visit to Chennai. Like TTV Dhinakaran, his position, although leading a fringe party, is still not clear about his support to the BJP’s NDA.A senior BJP leader claimed that the NDA camp will not marry the election possibilities of the NDA in the Camp and Fisher in PMK. State Vice President M. Chakraborty said, “Differences will soon be resolved and we will face choice as a strong force to defeat DMK.”Interestingly, Shah’s journey is second after the head of the state changes Annamalai of the head of the state, which is from Tirunelveli, near the southern district of Madurai.
