‘Meghalaya Police is lying’
Accusing the Meghalaya police of “making stories” in the murder case, Sonam’s father said that his daughter “reached Gazipur on her own” and “was not arrested in Meghalaya”.He said, “My daughter came to Ghazipur last night and called her brother … the police stained, and she was taken from there. I was unable to talk to my daughter,” he said.He said, “Why would my daughter do such a thing (kill her husband)? Meghalaya Police is lying. My daughter reached Ghazipur on her own. She was not arrested in Meghalaya,” she said.
‘Sonam surrendered’
Meghalaya DGP Nongrang said that “Sonam surrendered at Nandganj police station in UP, and was later arrested”.He said that the arrested people were hired by Sonam for murder, saying, “The campaign continues to catch some more people involved in crime in Madhya Pradesh.”“One person was picked up from above, and another two accused were seated and caught from Indore,” he said.
‘Sonam has not been arrested’: Raja’s brother
