The Pentagon announced on Monday that US President Donald Trump was sending an additional 2,000 National Guard soldiers to Los Angeles.This step comes when California claims that deployment is illegal and politically motivated.Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell posted on X: “On the President’s orders, the Defense Department is collecting an additional 2,000 California National Guard to invite the federal service to support the ICE and enable federal law-enforcement officers to conduct their duties safely.”The step connects 2,000 soldiers already authorized by Trump, on 1,000 land by Monday afternoon. The purpose of complete deployment is to manage protests triggered by immigration raids in Los Angeles.California officials have returned fast. Governor Gavin Newsome called the deployment “illegal and immoral” and accused the President of acting negligent. He wrote on social media, “This is not about public safety. It is about breaking the ego of a dangerous president.” Newsom also called the decision “derogatory towards our soldiers”.California’s Attorney General Rob Bonta on Monday announced a case against the federal government, seeking a preventive order to block the President’s action. “There is no migrant attack. There is no rebellion. The President’s decision to make the California National Guard federal is illegal,” he said.After proceeding after Tom Homan, Trump and his boundary advisor, if he interfere in immigration enforcement, openly discussed the possibility of arresting Newsom. Trump said, “If I were Tom, I would have done this. I think it’s great.” Newsom replied: “The President of the United States called for the arrest of only one governor. This is a day I expected that I would never see in America. ,According to three US officials, the Pentagon is preparing to send around 700 marines from Southern California to Los Angeles.On the ground, the city remains tense. The weekend was burnt and Ash covered the roads around the Los Angeles City Hall. The protesters demanded extensive immigration reforms.
