Donald Trump’s immigration Crackdown: La Police imposed curfew, deployed force amid protests; 197 arrested nationwide spreads as unrest

The Los Angeles police on Tuesday night implemented the curfew imposed by a city, which was arrested about 200 people, as it was effective that the protests on the immigration policies of President Donald Trump intensified. Mounted officers and congestion projectiles were used to disperse a group of hundreds in the city area. The National Guard soldiers behind the plastic shields did not assist in the arrest. The city saw the unrest of its fifth straight night, with a curfew in the 1-class section of the city from 8 am to 6 pm, an area that has been the subscription of protests since Friday. Mayor Karen Bass announced a local emergency, cited widespread looting and barbarity. “We arrived at a tipping point,” he said, seeing that 23 businesses were looted. Police chief Jim McDonal said that curfew, which exemption residents, emergency employees, homeless and reliable media, was required from Saturday due to “illegal and dangerous behavior”. Officials confirmed 197 arrests, including 67 to block 101 freeway. Nationwide, disturbance has spread to cities like New York, Dallas and Austin. In New York City alone, police arrested 86 protesters in Lower Manhattan. In Texas, National Guard is on standby in cities such as Sainik San Antonio. Despite the anger, the immigration enforcement continues in Los Angeles County. ICE agents have allegedly seen near public places such as libraries and hardware stores, and schools have increased security for graduate ceremonies, some allowing virtual appearance to reduce community apprehensions.
