New Delhi: India on Saturday removed itself from a statement issued by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which recently condemned the Israeli attacks on Iran, clarifying that it did not participate in the discussions that led to the group’s comments.In a statement, the Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) said, “The Shanghai Cooperation Organization has issued a statement on recent developments between Israel and Iran. India did not participate in the discussion on the above SCO statement.”Mea confirmed India’s independent stance on Israel-Iran’s stresses, first expressed on 13 June, and repeated his call for quiet and dialogue. “We urge that dialogue and diplomacy channels be used to work towards de-size. It is necessary that the international community tries in that direction, “read the statement.

During the recent conversation, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar directly expressed India’s concerns to his Iranian counterpart. According to Mea, Jaishankar highlighted the deep concern of the international community over the growing tension and emphasized the need to avoid moving forward and return to diplomatic engagement.The SCO’s statement strongly condemned the Israeli attacks on the Iranian region, describing him as an aggressive functions against civil goals, including “energy and transport infrastructure”, stating that citizens violated the number of castes and international law and United Nations Charter. The ministry said that Jaishankar had recently talked with his Iranian counterpart, expressed the deep concern of the international community and reiterated the need to avoid moving forward and return to diplomatic processes. India emphasized its “intimate and friendly relations with both countries” and confirmed their readiness to increase support towards peace. Mea also said that Indian missions in Iran and Israel are in touch with the Indian community, recommending citizens to be vigilant and following local advice.
