Manipur police, security forces recover more than 300 weapons in joint operations in five valley districts

New Delhi: Manipur police have recovered 328 weapons including 151 self-loading rifles in intelligence-based operations conducted in five valley districts while intervening on the night of 13 and 14 May in joint operations with Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFS), Army and Assam Rifles personnel.Recovery includes 65 INS rifle, 6 AK series rifles, 73 rifles, 12 light machine guns (LMG), 5 carbine guns, 2 mp5 guns, 2 amog rifles, 1 mortar, 6 pistols, 2 barrel guns, 1 AR 15 and 2 flair guns.A huge cash of ammunition was also seized, including 591 magazines, 3534 SLR rounds, 2176 INSAS Round, 2252 .303 round, 235 AK Series Round, 407 Amog Round and 209 mm round. 10 grenades and 7 detonators were also confiscated.“At night intervention of 13.06.2025 and 14.06.2025,On receiving specific intelligence about the presence of large cash of arms and ammunition etc. in various regions of the valley districts, 05 (five) Valley districts were introduced simultaneously at different places in the outskirts of the Valley districts.
