New Delhi: Air India will reduce its international services on broad body aircraft to at least “at least” to the “minimum”, Saurabh Sinha’s report. AI operates about 70 international flights daily on its broad body fleet. Several factors, including airspace closure, have extended the flying Times from the West and the AI 171 crash has reduced twin oil availability last Thursday after a check on Boeing 787. Thus mathematics was worked on: AI operated 462 flights on its wide body fleet of Boeing 787s, B777S and Airbus A350s, canceling 83 flights between 2 to 17 June to 17 June. Which means 15.2% of the 545 flights that were to be operated were canceled to uncomfortable passengers. Taking that ratio and aligning the schedule for real capacity to mount flights, AI has cut the body’s broader flights by 15%.
