Goa CM Pramod Sawant on Wednesday demolished the controversial art and culture minister Govind Gaud from his cabinet. After making serious allegations of corruption in the Tribal Welfare Department, Sawant decided to leave Gaud about three weeks ago, which is under CM. However, Gaud’s expulsion was delayed as Sawant was waiting for approval from Delhi, Murari Sheety’s report. Toi was the first to report on 31 May that Goud would be removed from the cabinet. Sawant has not yet decided whether he will immediately include a new minister in his cabinet or wait until the end of the monsoon session of Goa Assembly, which is to start from 22 July. In his statement on social media platforms, Gaud said: “There can be no great respect except being recognized on Goa Revolution Day to stand up with weak and oppressed.
