Where are we going? “The court commented.The bench instructed the state to take steps to control any “divisive element”, which may pose a threat to the film screening.The Karnataka government filed its response before the Supreme Court on the release of Kamal Haasan’s film ‘Thug Life’ in the state.In its affidavit, the state government clarified that it has not imposed any ban on the release of the film and if producers decide to screen the film in Karnataka, assured to provide necessary security and security.After receiving the state’s assurance, the court closed the public interest petition and said there is no need to issue any guidelines or directions.Earlier, on 17 June, the Supreme Court had criticized the Karnataka government as the film was not shown in theaters and said that crowds and vigilance could not be allowed to control the roads.The court was hearing a petition filed by M Mahesh Reddy, which was not being screened by the film in Karnataka.There were protests in Karnataka after Haasan’s comment, several organizations called for boycott of the film.
