New Delhi: A man accused of killing his wife in London was denied interim relief by the Delhi High Court, where he challenged the lower court order, in which he was declared a declared criminal (PO).The High Court has listed the case for hearing on 15 July.The case included the alleged cruelty and dowry death of the wife of the accused in the UK. According to the news agency ANI, he fled from Britain and was last seen in Gurugram.Justice Pratibha M Singh refused to stay in the PO order, saying that the issue was needed properly and he was not suitable for a vacation bench.The deceased said that Britain has died under mysterious circumstances. This will require consideration. If the petitioner is arrested, his legal measures can be availed, “he said.

The accused had claimed from the High Court that the fixed procedure was not followed before the PO was announced. His lawyer, Advocate Varun Deswal argued that no notice was ever issued under Section 41A (attendance before the police). On May 1, the man was declared a PO.The Public Prosecutor (PP) opposed the petition and submitted a confidential report from the UK Interpol, which described the circumstances of the case.After reviewing the report, Justice Singh questioned the urgency of the case and said, “What is urgency? This is a PO case.”The accused’s counsel argued that the man could be arrested at any time and his properties were in danger of attachment. In response, PP said that the accused should surrender, go to jail, and then apply for bail.On March 14, Delhi Police arrested the parents of the accused. One parents are currently on bail, while the other is in custody. A visual circular was previously released against the petitioner.In this case, on December 3, 2024, Palam village police station was registered at Palam village police station under IPC section 498A, 406 and 34, which is 85, 316, and 3 (5) with Indian Nyaya Sanhita, 2025. The section related to Dr. Death was later connected by the Deli Police.
