New Delhi: The flight, mainly 290 Indian students from Jammu and Kashmir, reached Delhi Airport from Iran’s Mashad, on Friday night, Tehran opened his airspace. The Government of India launched Operation Sindhu to safely transport its citizens from the Middle Eastern region amid growing tension between Israel and Iran.After reaching New Delhi, the Indians expressed happiness and thanked the government for the withdrawal flight. In Iran, we were comfortable, we were provided a 5-star hotel and we were provided security. But after coming here, we feel comfortably. Thank you very much Government of India. We did not face any issue there because our embassy made everything easy for us.,Another, Maulana Mohammad Sayeed said, “We are happy and grateful that we are safe and capable of returning sound from home. The situation in Iran is not good and we all know. The Indian Embassy and our ambassador made the evacuation process very smooth and safe …”Later additional flights are required, with one, from Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, for 3 am, which collectively brings around 1,000 Indian citizens back home.The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association said, “Heartfelt thanks to their timely intervention and support to the Government of India, Ministry of External Affairs, and all concerned officials. A great relief for families who were eagerly waiting for their return,” said the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association.Iran demonstrated cooperation by allowing access to its airspace to support India’s withdrawal mission.Indian authorities coordinated with an Iranian airline to take students from Tehran to Mashhad before their departure.The withdrawal between Iran and Israel was held after a recent aerial military exchange.Earlier, 110 Indian students reached Delhi on Thursday via Armenia and Doha.The Ministry of External Affairs started Operation Sindhu in the last week.
