‘Granted food, shelter’: 2 held to harass terrorists of Pahalgam attack; Revealed 3 Pak Late Main | Bharat News

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday arrested two people to harass the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam terror attack. Residents of Parviz Ahmed Joti from Battatkot and Bashir Ahmed Jotar from Hill Park, both residents of Pahgam provided shelter, food and logistics support to three armed terrorists associated with banned Pakistan-based outfits Lashkar-E-Taiba (late), Nia said in a statement.The arrest falls in the case RC-02/NIA/JMU as part of the NIA investigation, which is registered after the attack to shock shockwaves across the country. Investigators revealed that the two accused had hidden the terrorists in a seasonal hut (dhok) in the Hill Park area.

According to the NIA, during interrogation, Parviz and Bashir revealed the identity of the attackers and confirmed that he was a Pakistani citizen. The attackers deliberately targeted tourists in the Besaran Valley on the basis of their religious identity, which in recent years made one of the most frightening terrorist attacks in the region.Both have been arrested under Section 19 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
