New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate on Sunday discovered the bribery and forced recovery cases related to the allegations of misuse of their official post against Himachal Pradesh Assistant Drug Controller, Nishant Sarin.The Anti-Mani Laundering Agency is also investigating “political patronage” to Sarin, which was reinstated and posted by the new Himachal Pradesh government in 2024 after being removed as an Assistant Drug Controller on bribery allegations in 2019 as an assistant drug controller.On October 25, 2019, he was released on bail in the Baddi corruption case in which the case is pending. The State Vigilance and the Anti -Corruption Bureau and the police filed a charge sheet under the prevention of the Corruption Act in the case and arrested it in September 2019. Sarin was accused of receiving bribe from pharmaceutical companies in Baddi, a pharma hub in the state.Komal Khanna, a colleague of Sarin, was also accused of corruption and was accused in the charge sheet.
