Mumbai: Mumbai opener Prithvi Shaw wants to leave Mumbai and play for another state as a ‘professional’.The 25 -year -old on Monday demanded an objection certificate (NOC) to the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) from its parent association. Toi has learned that Shaw Mumbai’s neighboring team is going to Maharashtra.MCA Secretary Abhay Hadp told TOI, “They have demanded NOC today. We have now established a protocol for it, according to which we will first inform the members of our top council and then take a decision. They should get NOC by evening.”Shaw was removed from the Ranji Trophy by the Senior Selection Committee of Mumbai last year due to poor fitness and a two -week fitness program prepared by MCA instructors was set. Unhappy with his attitude towards fitness and practice, the team management informed the MCA that Prithvi Shaw had 35 percent fat and needed rigorous training before he returned from Mumbai.It turns out that Shaw had proposals from some states from last season, and after playing in the MCA T20 Mumbai League earlier this month, he finally decided to go to Maharashtra.Shaw returned to Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy last year, but was dropped for the Hazare Trophy last season.After being removed from the Mumbai Ranji team last season, Shaw posted a record on his list on social media at that time. “Tell me what else, what else do I have to see … If 65 innings, 3399 run on average with a strike rate of 126 on average, I am not quite good … but I will believe in you and hopefully people still believe in me … because I will definitely come back … Om Sai.”
