New Delhi: Congress leader Supriya on Monday accused BJP MLA Rajiv Singh of pointing to a train passenger on a window seat dispute in New Delhi -Harkal Vande Bharat Express.Shrinet posted a video on X alleging that Singh used his “goons” to beat a co-priest, which refused to leave a window seat. He further claimed that Singh “is close to Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah,” intensifies political allegations.In response to the dispute, Uttar Pradesh BJP issued a reason notice to Singh on 22 June, demanding written interpretation within seven days. The notice signed by the state general secretary Govind Narayan Shukla stated that Singh’s behavior had an “party’s image adversely affected,” and warned of “stringent action” if clarification was delayed or unsatisfactory.The dispute took place on Thursday evening inside the Vande Bharat train. According to the Government Railway Police (GRP), the dispute stems with disagreement on seat switching and an inappropriate posture by a co-passenger. When the train reached Jhansi station, tension boils, where the passenger was allegedly attacked by the MLA associated with the MLA.Meanwhile, Singh has filed a non-cognitive report (NCR), claiming that his co-priest has treated his wife and son indecently. He further alleged that the person called others to the station, who in turn used the derogatory language.
