Jasprit Bumrah has explained why his bowling technique is different and revealed a big secret about his bowling.Former England cricketer and Sky Sports Commentator Ian Ward asked Bumrah: “What do you feel with the finger? I don’t use my index finger; I use the middle finger all the time.”“So I try to flick the ball – when I want to bowl an outsinner, I flick it in this way, and when I want to bowl Inswinger, I jerk it inward – because I can usually change my hand’s way too much, the way my bowling style is.“Yes, so I usually use my second finger whatever I want to bowl for swing because I have always bowled. I have learned for years that I can’t really change my hand.
“I change my position at the crease, which I want to bowl, but I try to flick it when I want to move it in some way.”Bumrah was India’s standout bowler in three days as his figures of 5 for 83 in 24.4 overs-his 14th five-wicket testing-ensured that India took a narrow six-run lead after bowling out of England for 465 in their first innings. Bumrah, who took his third five wickets in England, has now equaled veteran Kapil Dev for the most pictures for an Indian, which is in a distant Test (12).
