As he moves to his final goal-a top closing-Olympic and world champion Neeraj Chopra, a top closing at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, says that he is not keeping himself under pressure to throw 90 meters every time, although he is quietly convinced to meet the Golden Spike in Ostrava on Tuesday.

Chopra told reporters before Tuesday’s Golden Spike Athletics Meet, “I feel good, but I don’t want to put any pressure on myself for 90 meters. But I will really work hard.” “I have thrown 90 meters before this year after a little further improvement in technology. So let’s see when the next time comes, but I am ready.”

The 27 -year -old Javelin Superstar, a fresh 27 -year -old Jewelin Superstar, is focusing more than the number of every meat, from the German Julian Weber, its Paris Diamond League win (88.16 m). “Recently we have done a good training in Nymberk (Czech Republic), so I will perform my best in Ostrava,” he said.

A part of Chopra’s stimulation in competition in Ostrava stems from childhood memories. “When I was a child, I saw a lot of videos and pictures of athletes like Usain Bolt, competing here. I came last year but I did not compete due to injury,” he said.

His primary attention, however, remains the World Championship in Tokyo from 13 to 21 September – where he expects to add to his gold to the previous edition. “The main goal for the season is clearly the World Championship in Tokyo,” said Chopra.

The Haryana athlete is also ready for a milestone moment on the soil of the house – Neeraj Chopra Classic inaugurated in Bengaluru on 5 July. “This will be my first really serious competition in India with international athletes. I still have to manage a lot of things before the competition, but it would be a good experience,” he said. “It would not be good now if I do not say to people. And I am happy that now people in India recognize sports other than cricket.”

Working with a three -time Olympic gold medalist and world record holder, Czech Legend John Zelejony is a great boost. “I am really happy to work with such great athletes and coaches,” said Chopra. The growing popularity of his partnership did not pay any attention. “When I competed in the Diamond League in Doha, there were many Indian people who wanted to take pictures with January and they are sometime … you know … very intense. So I was a little worried about him. But he quickly left the hotel.

Zelezny, for its share, is pleased with progress. “I am happy about the situation. It is important for Javelin and throws normally, as athletics is not only about sprints,” Czech Great said. “Neeraj opened the doors to other countries, it’s great for our game.”
