‘Aircraft failure’: Chinese domestic flight makes emergency landing in Nanjing; Passengers report burning smell

According to the South China Morning Post, a Chinese domestic flight of Shedong Airlines was forced to make an emergency landing in Nanjing on Friday after reporting the burning smell of several passengers.The flight SC4667 N route turned back into nanjing after experiencing the “malfunction of aircraft” from Qingdao to Shanghai. The airline said the situation was carefully managed to ensure passenger safety.“All affected passengers have been adjusted properly, and another aircraft has been sent to operate later flights,” Shedong Airlines said in a social media post.

A passenger quoted by South China Morning Post shared on social media that some got stuck in the left engine of the aircraft.Recalling the incident, the passenger described nervous and noted the aircraft to about 10 degrees.The captain announced an emergency landing in Nanjing, which the passenger said was very easily done.The passenger also praised the creation of the crew, wrote, “Thumbs up to Shandong Airlines pilots.”
