Iran buried the top military commanders killed in the Israeli war; Thousands attend the ‘historical’ funeral – video

Iran on Saturday launched a state funeral service for about 60 people in Tehran, including military commanders killed in war with Israel. It also honored 14 nuclear scientists killed in an Israeli attack in “Operation Rising Lion”.,The proceedings started local time in the capital at 8:00 am (0430 GMT) at 8:00 am, as the government offices and many businesses were closed for the occasion. Condolences gathered in the Islamic revolution class to honor the falling commanders and scientists. The Iranian state TV caught clothes of condolences, wearing black clothes, waving Iranian flags and caught pictures of killed military commanders. Iranian President Masaud Peseshkian and other senior government officials also participated in the event.The images showed the coffins wrapped in the Iranian flag and depicted the deceased commanders in the uniform near Angelb Square in Central Tehran.According to Iran’s Health Ministry, the Israeli strike killed at least 627 citizens. Meanwhile, Israeli officials say 28 people have been killed in Iranian attacks.
‘Historical’ State Funeral:
The ceremony is to be followed after a funeral procession for Azadi Square in Tehran. Tehran’s Islamic Development Coordination Council chief Mohsin Mahmodi described it as a “historic day for Islamic Iran and revolution”.Among those killed are Mohammad Bagheri, a prominent general of Iran’s revolutionary guards and the second-in-command of the armed forces. He will be buried with his wife and daughter, a journalist for a local media outlet, all killed in an Israeli attack.Nuclear scientist Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, who was also killed in the attack, will be buried with his wife. The revolutionary guard commander Hosain salute, who was killed on the first day of the war, will be kept for rest even after Saturday’s celebrations.Out of 60 people being buried, there are four children.
