Between 25 and 28 June, at least 14 people, including five children and three women, were killed and 43 others injured in rain -related incidents in Punjab, Pakistan.The deaths occurred in 14 districts in the form of torrential rains, thunderstorms, electricity and strong winds, which were swept away through the province.According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) quoted by ANI, most of the casualties were caused by the collapse of the roof and wall that is caused by heavy rains. Two people drowned in a flood ravine in Jhelum, and one person died of electrocution.In Abbas Nagar, Lahore, two people were killed and four others were injured. Electrical attacks killed a person in Okar and Khanwal.Okara reported the most incidents of a child’s dead and two children, two women and three men with injuries. Mandi Bahauddin saw the death of a woman and a child with three injuries. In Bahawalnagar and Faisalbad, a child was killed in each district.Kasur killed two children and recorded an injury. Wazirabad reported the death of a man and a child with two injuries. In Chiniot, four people were injured in roof collapse. Sahiwal registered injuries to a man and a woman.In Multan, four incidents resulted in injuries to eight people, including women and children. Sheikhupura, Nanna Sahib and Rahim Yar Khan reported many injuries and loss of livestock. In Rahim Yar Khan, a cow died and another injured when a tree fell during an air.The PDMA confirmed 28 incidents during the four -day season and urged the residents to be cautious and avoid weak buildings during the ongoing monsoon season.
