Kolkata: Trinamool was shown on Sunday that MLA Madan Mitra and MP Kalyan Banerjee were censors for controversial comments on alleged gang-force of a student at Kolkata Law College last week, even its slugfest continued for less than a year on RG Karder with protests with BJP’s safety in Bengal.TMC President Subrata Bakshi sent a notice to Mitra, directed him to reply within three days, which was to respond within three days on his “unwanted, unnecessary and insensitive comments, who severely damaged the party’s image”. Assembly elections are going to be held in Bengal next year.Mitra commented on Saturday that women should not go “closed colleges if any calls” – those comments that were seen as rape gravity, in which four accused have been arrested. It includes major suspected monsoon Mishra with a link to TMC student wing.Banerjee also made a controversial statement, in which it was asked on Friday that “If a friend raped another friend, how would government officials provide security in such cases?” TMC removed himself from both comments, saying that they had personal opinions of Mitra and Banerjee and the party did not agree with them in any way.The two-member National Commission for the women’s team visited the South Kolkata Law College on Sunday, where the alleged gang-existence took place on 25 June. The team, under the leadership of Archana Majumdar, was not allowed in the crime site, nor videography was allowed.
