New Delhi: In an attempt to infiltrate a major infiltration along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, a Pakistani national who worked as a terrorist guide was arrested by the army, while trying to lead a group of Jai-e-Mohammed (Gem), officials told the news agency PTI on Monday.Arif was arrested near Hazura Post in a serious area under the Army’s Ace of Spads Division on Sunday afternoon.Officials said Arif, in the late 20s, was leading the four Gem militants, when warning the Indian soldiers, monitoring the rugged area, looked at the suspicious movement with the LoC while monitoring the rugged area. During interrogation, he admitted that he was working at the behest of the Pakistani Army to help the terrorists infiltrate and had a detailed knowledge of local topography.“He is a resident of the Line of Control on the Pakistani side and is working at the Pakistani Army to help the terrorists infiltrate the Indian side,” said officials said.The army has launched a detailed inquiry from Arif, from which they are extracting significant intelligence that can strengthen the counter-infection grid.“The successful counter-infection operation underlines the unwavering resolution and professional skills of the Indian Army in the protection of national borders,” officials said, “the officials said. “Swift exposes, effective response, and successful apprehension of a guide, high status of operational readiness and coordinated efforts of soldiers deployed with LoC.”He said, “The Indian Army was committed to thwarting all efforts by the disqualified forces to harass peace and peace in the region.”
