New Delhi: The “Ekta Show” within the Karnataka Congress on Wednesday flated within 24 hours after Siddaramaiah’s deputy DK Shivkumar, claiming that he had no “option”, but the Chief Minister and the party to support the high command’s decision.The Congress said that there will be no change in the leadership and Siddaramaiah will continue as the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister Shivkumar- who was expecting a promotion- said that whatever decision the party has taken will be fulfilled.Talking to the media, Shivkumar said, “What option do I have? I have to stand near him and support it. I have no objection to it. The party will be fulfilled by the high command and whatever they decide.”“I don’t want to discuss anything anymore. Millions of workers are supporting this party,” he said.Meanwhile, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that he intends to serve the entire five -year term.“Yes, I will continue as CM. Why do you doubt?” Siddaramaiah told reporters, distinguishing the speculation of internal dissatisfaction and leadership shift within the ruling Congress.He said, “There is no confusion or crack. We are united,” he said, the Congress government in Karnataka is stable and is committed to its full tenure.Earlier, Randeep Surjewal, who was sent as a troubleshooting by the party high command, approved the wind that there may be increasing cracks between CM Siddharthmah and his deputy DK Shivkumar, which could eventually lead to widespread turmoil in Karnataka Congress.“We are not taking an opinion on leadership change in Karnataka,” Surjevala said.“Some of you asked me if you are taking opinion on leadership change. The answer that I had also gave yesterday was also yesterday and I am answering again today- the answer is clearly ‘not’ in a word,” Surjevala said in a press conference. Surjevala, who is also in -charge of Karnataka Congress, said that his meeting with Karnataka MLAs was to “evaluate the work in their segment”.On Tuesday, he issued a reason notice to Ramnagar MLA Ha Iqbal Hussain, making a statement that Shivkumar should become CM.On Monday, CM Siddaramaiah and Shivkumar presented a united front, which puts hands in front of the media and confirms the stability of the Congress government in the state.Asked if he and Shivkumar were on good terms, Siddaramaiah replied in confirmation. He then raised Shivkumar’s hand in the performance of Ekta. We are confident that the high command is aware of the situation and will take a reasonable decision at the right time to give him a chance.”Asked if Shivkumar will be given CM Post this year, Hussain replied, “Yes, I am saying this. Some leaders are pointing for revolutionary political development after September, this is what he is talking about. A decision will be made within two to three months.”“This is what I am saying. I am not beating around the bush; I am speaking directly,” he insisted.However, when reminded that Siddaramaiah’s son and MLC Yatindra Siddaramaiah rejected the discussion only as speculation, Hussein said that the party’s central leadership had decided to form the government after the first 2023 assembly elections.“We were all together in Delhi. Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Mallikrajun Kharge decided.
