Chicago West Side Shooting: 46 -year -old man shot; Suspected to appear in court today

A 46 -year -old man was shot dead last week in a target attack on Chicago’s West Side, in which the police confirmed the arrest of a suspect involved in the crime. According to a Fox 32 report.The incident took place on 25 June at around 7:54 pm in the 1200 blocks of South Springfield Avenue. As the Chicago police said, the victim was standing on a pavement when an unknown person approached him, took out a gun, and set fire. The person was immediately mounted to Sinai Hospital, but was declared dead shortly thereafter. His identity has not been made public yet.Officials said a 35 -year -old man and a 38 -year -old woman were also present in the area at the time of shooting, but no other injuries were reported.After the days of investigation, the police on Monday arrested a man identified as Mars in the 6300 blocks of South California Avenue. Officials said he was positively identified as a person who shot the victim on 25 June.Mangal has been accused in connection with the shooting and is going to appear in court today for hearing in custody. Authorities have not released much information about the leading circumstances for motive or fatal encounter.
