Russia-Ukraine conflict: Senior Russian Navy Officer, once awarded the ‘hero of the Russian Federation’ by Putin, killed in the match
The Russian Ministry of Defense on Thursday confirmed that a high -ranked Russian Navy officer was killed during “fighter operations” in the border area of Kursk. Major General Mikhail Gudkov, who served as the Deputy Commander of the Russian Navy, died on July 2, “carrying forward his duties during the ongoing conflicts in the region. Oleg Kozhemiko, the Governor of the Primori region in the Far East of Russia, paid tribute to the officer, described him as a “strong-centered fighter”.Kozhemyako said he had “talked to Gudkov” over the years and was “killed to carry out his duty as an officer.
