He served as a full-time captain in early March 2021 to 2024, leading the team to 39 tests, which is also a joint-fourth for the Caribbean side with Sir Gary Sobers. Under his leadership, the West Indies won foreign win, including Gabba in 2024 and Multan in 2025.
