‘Bihar’s Beti’: PM Modi awakened the ancestral ties of Trinidad and Tobago PM Kamala Persad; Chautira welcomed with Bhojpuri. Bharat News

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Trinidad and Tobago for a two -day official visit, marking the second phase of his foreign tour, Trinidad and Tobago for a two -day official visit. During his visit to the Caribbean country, he referred to his counterpart, Prime Minister Kamla Persala-Bisan “Bihar’s Beti” (daughter of Bihar), highlighting his ancestral roots in Bihar.Addressing the Indian community in the port in Spain, PM Modi said, “Kamala ji’s ancestors lived in Bihar, Bihar. He himself has gone there. People proudly call their Bihar’s Bedi.” He said, “Many people have their roots in Bihar,” he praised the strong cultural relations between the two countries.On his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by PM Kamla at the airport, wearing Indian dress, as well as with his entire cabinet. Many cabinet members were also seen wearing Indian dress. A total of 38 ministers and four members of Parliament attended the reception.At the port of Spain, PM Modi was congratulated with a traditional Bhojpuri Chautal performance. Sharing the moment on X, PM wrote: “Bhojpuri Chautal echo in Trinidad and Tobago!”Addressing the Indian migrant, he praised his contribution to the development of the country and talked about his strong ancestral relations for India. He also brought with him a replica of Ram temple and holy water, which was from Sangam in Maha Kumbh and in Ayodhya as a gesture of Saryu River Honor and Relations.PM Modi also highlighted the global significance of Bihar’s legacy and said: “Bihar’s legacy is a matter of pride not only for India, but for the whole world. From democracy and education to diplomacy, Bihar has shown this path. I believe that the land will continue to inspire the 21st century.”This is his first visit to the country as Prime Minister and has been the first bilateral visit by an Indian leader for the Caribbean nation since 1999. This journey comes at the invitation of PM Kamla Parand.
