One -third of UAE residents have planned to travel abroad at least twice in 2025, with security, budget and digital facility to shape their travel decision/representative image.

According to Allians Partners Travel Index 2025, one of the three UAE residents plans to travel abroad at least twice this year, with the intention of traveling overall. The survey conducted between 500 UAE respondents from 11 to 19 February discovered the habits, destination preferences and emerging concerns for the coming year. High -income passengers were more likely to travel five or more annually. The travel budget varies from income, but 34% of the respondents plan to spend more than $ 3,000 (around DH11,000) on their next holiday.

Where are the residents of UAE going?

The Middle East and North Africa remained the most popular regions, attracting 30% of respondents, while 26% preferred UK and Europe. Small passengers under the age of 30 showed growing interest in destinations in Central America and Caribbean, indicating emerging trends between Jean Z and Millennials. The duration of the average journey comes between nine and fifteen days. Most of the passengers said that they prefer to travel with family or colleagues.

What affects travel decisions?

The travel plan usually starts three months ago. Social media platforms, especially YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, remain the top source of inspiration, with family and friend recommendations. When it comes to digital tools, 45% of the passengers highlighted the ability to travel digitally to travel documents, which is the most useful feature in the travel app.

Security, insurance and digital assets take priority

Security and mind peace are now top priorities for UAE passengers. Personal safety topped the list of concerns cited by 44% of respondents, followed by extreme weather, flying disruption and financial pressure. High-ul-passengers were more concerned about geopolitical stress, while young travelers insisted on achieving digital assets and travel documents. Interest in travel insurance is increasing, 26% of the passengers said that they intend to buy policies through travel websites. Of these, 50% said that the main reason was for peace of mind, while 35% indicated the importance of medical emergency coverage and profit boundaries, especially for prolonged international visits.
