Malignant Texas Flash Flood: 24 dead, missing more than 23 after a sudden decline; Home, vehicles swept away

At least 24 people have died, while many suddenly, disappeared after heavy rains, flash flooded in Texas Hill Country in early Friday.There are 23 girls in the missing, participating in the Camp Mystic, a summer camp with around 750 attendees. Rescue teams are releasing search efforts using helicopters, boats and drones.Central Ker County received 10 inches (25 cm) of rain overnight. The Gwadalup River rose rapidly, climbing 22 feet in just two hours. A river gauge in Hunt stopped working after recording about 30 feet, reported to AP.Rapid growing water flooded with homes, vehicles, and forced many people to search for security on roofs and even trees.At least 400 emergency activists are involved in response, with nine rescue teams, 14 helicopters and 12 drone in use. Officials have not yet confirmed the identity of the victims, including both adults and children.The situation remains active, and the authorities warned that the toll of death could increase. The forecast had released a flood watch, later upgraded to a warning affecting around 30,000 residents.Floods in Texas occurred when serious storms were swept away through the Central New Jersey, where thunderstorms were linked to at least three deaths. As a result, New Jersey closed its July fourth parade, concert and fireworks performance.
