Texas Fluding: At least 23 girls disappear from century old all-girls Christian Summer Camp

Located on the banks of the Gwadalupa River, Camp Mistic, an all-girl Christian Summer Camp reported at least 23 missing girls after a sudden, torrential rains at Texas Hill Country in early Friday. The Guadalup river increased by 22 feet in just two hours due to more than 10 inches of rain overnight in Central Car County. According to the Associated Press, a river gauge in the nearby city of Hunt recorded a growth of about 30 feet before it stops working. Delus cut the access route, washed the nearby highway, and left the area with no power, water or Wi-Fi.The Camp Mystic was established in 1926, a long -term summer destination for the political aristocratic class of Texas and other families across the state. The camp’s website described its mission as “a complete Christian atmosphere to promote, in which young girls can develop excellent personal qualities and self -esteem.” Its youngest camper usually enters the third grade in a decline. In a brief email to parents on Friday morning, Camp Mistic admitted that she had faced a “frightening level flood”. This confirmed that it was collaborating with the ongoing discovery-and-resurrection operations, but highlighted serious logistic challenges due to washed roads and communication breakdown.Efforts to rescue through the day with helicopters, boats and drones continued. The facilities of the camp Mystic include an entertainment hall manufactured in the 1920s using local saru trees. Camp activities are from archery and fishing to cooking, cheerleading and various games.Since 1974, dick and tweeti, owned by Eastland, the camp has been run by generations of the same family since the 1930s. Among the Austin Graduates, both Eastlands of the University of Texas worked closely with the previous camp owners before handling their management. As the discovery of the remaining people continued, the entire measure of the disaster was unclear. Emergency employees warned that the rising levels of water and the infrastructure washed raised the risks in the flood affected area.
